I actually watched a documentary film on CBC Doc Area. The name of film is " Age of Anxiety”. After I viewed it there are several questions which might be raised in the documentary. This is a story about a society upon edge, a place where our culture, the very approach we live is going out of us sense more restless than ever before. Every person when they are interviewed about panic, they display different views: Arthur Kleinman: We are normally anxious since life is dangerous. Many of us are susceptible to losing a job or perhaps being underemployed. We cannot manage whether we are going to get yourself a disease or perhaps most of the time. Partricia Pearson: The other factor I think is really important is isolation, so that perception that, really, nobody has your again. Question: What has changed? Or has anxiety always been around and only at this point taking its place in the culture spotlight? To answer that question, we have to know what precisely is anxiousness? It's a tough question. Arthur Kleinman: usually there is a dilemma in the head of people when they are speaking, if they are talking about anxiousness. Are they discussing some usual? Are they discussing something extra normal? Are they talking about a thing pathological? Would it be a disease? Would it be a symptom? Narrator: The dictionary describes that as a a sense of worry, nervousness or unease, typically regarding an upcoming event or perhaps something with an uncertain outcome. In reality, it means completely different things to differing people. Steph: It kind of feels as though something is constantly chasing you; that you are constantly trying to get away or always trying to get someplace. There is something often right behind you, coming for yourself. Jesica: There exists just every day anxiety. Lacking the subway when you are overdue for job; trying to get in to an appointment therefore you can't find a cab. It can just the town is fraught with this.
